Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What is PixelArtify?
PixelArtify is a free online image-to-pixel-art generator that can quickly convert any image into pixel style. All processing is done locally in the browser, without relying on any servers or third-party libraries, supporting pixel size adjustment, palette selection, and real-time preview.
Will my images be uploaded to a server?
No. All image processing is done entirely in the browser, ensuring safety and privacy. Generated pixel images will not be uploaded or stored on any server.
Which image formats are supported?
Common image formats are supported, such as PNG, JPG/JPEG, and SVG (vector images will first be converted to bitmap).
How can I adjust the pixel effect?
Use the "Pixel Size" slider to adjust the size of the pixel blocks. Higher values make the image more pixelated, while lower values make it closer to the original image. Adjusting the slider updates the right-side pixel preview in real time, making it easy to compare with the original.
Can I use palettes?
Yes, you can choose built-in palettes such as Gameboy, C64, Pico-8, etc., or upload a custom palette. Once selected, the palette will be immediately applied to the pixelated image.
Can I download the generated pixel image?
Yes. Two download options are supported: 1. Small Size: Maintains the original pixel block size 2. Large Size: Enlarges according to the original image size while preserving the pixel effect
Can the generated images be used commercially?
The generated pixel images belong to the user for personal use. PixelArtify does not claim copyright over generated images. Please ensure that the original image's copyright allows commercial use before using it commercially.
Are there performance requirements?
PixelArtify uses Canvas for pixelation. Processing very large images or using very small pixel sizes may be slower. It is recommended to reduce image size or use a moderate pixel size before uploading large images.
How can I quickly preview the effect?
There is a "Real-time Comparison Area" on the page. The left side shows the original image, and the right side shows the pixelated image. You can drag the slider directly to compare the effect.
